500 grams chicken, cut into pieces
30 ml refined oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
15 grams ginger garlic paste
6 grams black peppercorns, crushed
6 grams cumin powder
6 grams coriander powder
5 grams turmeric powder
6 grams red chili powder (adjust to taste)
6 grams garam masala
15 grams Salt
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
2. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 12 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil separates from the masala.
4. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and crushed black peppercorns. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
5. Add chicken pieces to the masala and stir to coat the chicken with the spices.
6. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until it starts to brown.
7. Add salt and garam masala. Mix well.
8. Cover the pan with a lid and let the chicken cook on low to medium heat until it's tender and fully cooked. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
9. Once the chicken is cooked, check the seasoning, and adjust if needed.
10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves if desired.
