250 grams paneer, cubed
30 ml refined oil or ghee
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, pureed
15 grams ginger garlic paste
6 grams cumin seeds
6 grams coriander powder
5 grams turmeric powder
5 grams red chili powder (adjust to taste)
6 grams garam masala
130 grams fresh cream or Curd (Dahi) (optional)
15 grams Salt
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. **Sautéing Onions:**
Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
2. **Adding Tomatoes and Spices:**
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil starts separating.
3. **Adding Spice Powders:**
Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the masalas are cooked.
4. **Paneer Cubes:**
Add the cubed paneer to the masala mixture. Gently mix, ensuring the paneer is coated with the curry base.
5. **Cream or Curd (Dahi) (Optional):**
If you want a creamier texture, add fresh cream or Curd (Dahi) at this stage. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes.
6. **Simmering:**
Let the Paneer Curry simmer for 5-7 minutes on low heat, allowing the flavors to meld.
7. **Garnish and Serve:**
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice, naan, or your preferred choice of bread.
