:
500 grams all-purpose flour
5 grams sugar
6 grams baking powder
4 grams baking soda
5 grams salt
30 gramss plain Curd (Dahi)
30 gramss melted butter (plus extra for brushing)
130 grams warm milk
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
**1. Prepare the Dough:**
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
2. Add Curd (Dahi), melted butter, and minced garlic to the dry ingredients.
3. Gradually add warm milk and knead the mixture to form a soft and smooth dough. Add more flour or milk as needed.
4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 2 hours, allowing it to rise.
**2. Preheat the Oven or Tandoor:**
1. Preheat your oven to the highest temperature (usually around 500°F/260°C) or use a tandoor if available.
**3. Shape and Cook Naan:**
1. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
2. Roll out each ball into an oval or round shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
3. Place the rolled-out naan on a baking sheet or directly on the oven rack.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 2-3 minutes or until the naan puffs up and the edges turn golden brown. If using a tandoor, cook until it has a nice char.
**4. Brush with Butter:**
1. Once the naan is cooked, brush the surface with melted butter. This step adds flavor and keeps the naan soft.
**5. Garnish (Optional):**
1. Optionally, sprinkle chopped fresh coriander leaves over the garlic naan for added freshness and flavor.
**6. Serve:**
1. Serve the Garlic Naan hot with your favorite curry, dal, or as a standalone snack with some Curd (Dahi) or chutney.
Enjoy your homemade Garlic Naan with its aromatic garlic flavor and soft texture!
