Indulge in the wholesome goodness of our Palak Corn, served with your choice of two freshly baked naans. A delightful combination that brings together the richness of spinach with the sweet crunch of corn, creating a flavorful and comforting delight
:
500 grams fresh spinach (palak), washed and chopped
250 grams corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
6 grams ginger garlic paste
1 green chili, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
5 grams cumin seeds
5 grams turmeric powder
6 grams coriander powder
5 grams garam masala
15 grams Salt
15 ml refined oil or ghee
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
**1. Prepare Spinach:**
1. Blanch the spinach in hot water for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
2. Drain and immediately transfer the spinach to cold water to retain its green color.
3. Blend the blanched spinach to a smooth puree.
**2. Cook the Corn:**
1. If using fresh corn, boil it until tender. If using frozen corn, thaw it.
2. Set aside the cooked corn.
**3. Cook the Palak Corn:**
1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
2. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chili. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.
5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
6. Pour in the spinach puree and mix. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
7. Add the cooked corn and 15 grams Salt. Mix and simmer for another 5 minutes.
**4. Garnish and Serve:**
1. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
2. "Corn-y Palak Delight" is ready to be served.
Serving with Naan:
1. You can use store-bought Naan or make them at home.
2. Heat the Naan and serve them alongside the Palak Corn.
3. Optionally, brush the Naan with ghee or butter for added flavor.
